Breast Augmentation Chicago – Breast Augmentation Options

There are a variety of breast augmentation options to discuss during your breast augmentation consultation at Northwestern Plastic Surgery. Chicago breast implant patients have a variety of options to consider including implant type, incision placement and more. While your surgeon will help you determine the best options for you, here is a brief breakdown of the options you will be given.

Incision options: There are three incision locations the surgeons at Northwestern Plastic Surgery offer; the Inframammary incision, the Periareolar incision, and the Transaxillary incision. The Inframammmary incision is located under the fold of the breast, the periareolar incision is located at the base of the areola and the Transaxillary incision is located in the armpit. Not all incision options are available for all types of implants. Based on the shape and size of your breast and your desired implants, your surgeon will help you determine which incision location is best for you.

Type of Implant: The surgeons of Northwestern Plastic Surgery offer two types of implants; Silicone and Saline. Neither implant is universally considered best for everyone. Your surgeon will discuss your desired appearance as well as evaluate your skin elasticity and current breast tissue to help you determine which type of implant is right for you.

Chicago Arm Lift Surgery – Brachioplasty

Brachioplasty or arm lift surgery is designed to improve the contour of the upper arm. Often times after a person achieves significant weight loss they are left with loose sagging skin around the upper arm between the elbow and armpit. Aging is also a common cause of loose sagging skin around the upper arm. Using arm lift surgery, our surgeons are able to remove this excess skin giving you more firm, slender arms.

Arm lift surgery involves surgically removing excess skin. In extreme cases, the incision may run the entire length of the back of the upper arm. Liposuction may be combined with arm lift surgery to produce optimal results. A consultation with one of our skilled plastic surgeons is the first step in achieving more slender arms. During your consultation we will help you determine if you are a good candidate for arm lift surgery.
